You Get to Decide How Life Gets to be For You

Share Post

For many florists, consistent income feels like the golden ticket out of the exhausting grind of working seven days a week. While a steady paycheck and a reliable client base are certainly key components of a successful business, they aren’t the cure-all for the challenges that come with entrepreneurship. The real game-changer? Deciding how you want your life and business to be, setting boundaries, and reclaiming your power. You Get to Decide How Life Gets to be For You.

The Myth of Consistent Income as the Ultimate Solution

Consistent income is incredibly valuable—it provides stability, a foundation to build upon, and the security of knowing that your hard work is paying off. However, consistent income alone won’t fix everything. Even with a steady stream of revenue, you might still find yourself working seven days a week, hesitating to hire help, or struggling with pricing. This is where tough love comes in: no amount of income will fix a lack of boundaries or the misalignment between your work and your values.

Taking Back Your Power

We’ve been taught to believe that once we have enough money or support, we can finally start valuing our own needs and desires. But this mindset hands over our power to external factors—clients, potential income, or societal expectations. In reality, the only person who can truly value our values is us. If you’re not where you want to be in life or business, it’s time to take back your power and decide what’s best for you.

The Freedom of Redefining Your Business

As female entrepreneurs, we have more freedom than previous generations ever did. In their honor, it’s our responsibility to defy outdated norms, reclaim our power, and create a life that aligns with our values. The signs of misalignment—resentment, exhaustion, and burnout—are red flags that something needs to change.

For me, that moment came in 2019 when I hit a breaking point. I was doing everything “right” but was still deeply unhappy. It was then that I realized the importance of living in alignment with my true self and my values. That’s when I created my flagship program, Petals to Profit. A way to build a sustainable business. You can check that out here!

Decide What’s Best for You

Life and your business get to be fun, fulfilling, and aligned with your true desires. If there’s something in your business that’s no longer serving you, give yourself permission to change it. Whether it’s scaling back your workweek, focusing on your top three sales categories, or setting boundaries around your availability, you have the power to design your business in a way that works for you.

I went from a six-day workweek to a two-day workweek, traveled the world, and stopped working weekends. That’s what worked for me, and you can find what works for you. If you’re feeling stuck or unfulfilled, remember: you’re not trapped. You have the power to make changes, take baby steps, and create the life you truly want.

Conclusion:

You get to decide how life and business get to be for you. Don’t wait for consistent income or external validation to start living the life you want. Make a decision today to align your business with your life, set boundaries that honor your values, and take back your power. The next step on your journey will become clear when you allow yourself to dream and trust in your ability to create the life you deserve.
